- What documentation do I need to travel?

All users, without exception (including children), must carry their corresponding personal and family documentation in order, be it their passport or ID, according to the laws of the country or countries they are visiting. It will be on their behalf when the trips require it to obtain visas, passports, vaccination certificates, etc. On Danube cruises that go to the Black Sea, it is recommended to carry your passport to facilitate border and customs procedures.


- Do I need a visa to travel?

EU citizens need a visa to travel to Russia. Visa is not required for travel to Ukraine. Crucemundo offers a visa processing service to Russia. Visas can also be processed by passengers directly. 


- What clothes are recommended for the trip?

The atmosphere on board is informal. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing: a sweater for warm afternoons and appropriate footwear for excursions. Slightly more elegant attire is required for Captain's dinner.


- Can I travel with children?

Children of any age are allowed on board our boats. However, there are no cribs or beds for babies on board and there is no babysitting service. The shipping companies are not responsible for the care of children on board. It is the obligation of parents to watch over children during navigation and excursions.


- Can I travel with pets?

No pets of any kind are allowed on board our boats, including guide dogs.


- Is smoking allowed on board?

Smoking is prohibited on board the boats, except on the Sun deck. It is forbidden to throw cigarette butts overboard. Passengers who do not comply with the fire prevention regulations may be penalized by the shipping company.


- How do you pay on board?

On Russian cruises the currency on board is the Ruble; in Europe - Euro. At the end of the trip they can pay their onboard accounts both in cash (local currency) and with credit cards (Mastercard / VISA). On some ships, only cash payment is accepted. On board the boats there is no currency exchange. Make sure to change the currency in advance or during the first days of your stay in the country.


- Can I book excursions in advance?

Our river cruises include some excursions within the itinerary. Optional visits that are not part of the contracted tour can be reserved only on board the ship.


- Is there a doctor on board?

No, there is only one infirmary on board. However, medical services are easily accessible on land. Travel is discouraged for people in need of constant medical supervision.


- Is the tap water on board drinkable?

No, the tap water on board the ships is not drinkable. Bottled water can be purchased at the on-board bars.


- Are there elevators on board?

Some boats may have lifts or lift chairs. Please consult in each case. The trip is not recommended for people with reduced mobility, since the on-board staff is not responsible for the care of these people. There are no wheelchairs on board.


- What is the tipping policy on board?

Tipping guidelines are available to help passengers express their appreciation for the excellent service they receive during their cruise vacation. An amount of € 5-7 per person per day is recommended. Tips are shared among all crew members. Tips for other services are at the discretion of each passenger.


- What language is spoken on board?

Our ships are international. However, each group will have their accompanying guide who speaks the group's language.


- Is it possible to choose lunch and dinner times on board?

On board our boats there is usually a single shift for each meal that depends on the sailing schedule and is usually adapted to European customs. Tables are usually assigned on the day of arrival and are kept until the end of the trip. All tables are usually shared with other passengers who speak the same language to facilitate communication.


- What type of plugs are there on board?

The voltage on board is 220V and the plugs are as in Spain.


- Can I wash my clothes during the trip on board?

On most ships it is possible to hire laundry service. The price list is usually located inside the cabin.


- Is there a wi-fi connection on board?

Normally, all ships offer Wi-Fi connection on board in common areas and / or in cabins. This service may be subject to additional payments. The quality of the connection allows the use of consultation services, it is not possible to download high-volume media content. The connection is subject to the coverage of the operators that provide this service, so there may be areas during navigation in which there is no coverage.


- Can I leave the boat on my own?

During a scheduled stopover, passengers can leave the ship freely. The stopover time is established and indicated in daily programs that are distributed in the cabins, as well as on the notice board. It is mandatory to return to the ship at least 30 minutes before setting sail. The ship follows a strict sailing schedule and will not wait for any passengers. Passengers arriving late for the ship's departure time will have to bear the re-boarding costs.
